JUROP was founded in 1976 by four partners, a couple of them having a multi-year experience in the vacuum technology, with the purpose of starting a manufacturing of vacuum pumps destined mainly to agricultural slurry-spreaders.Thanks to the above mentioned experience combined with a sound financial support from the majority share-holder (Santarossa brothers), the new company was able to acquire practically right from the start a couple of large foreign customers in spite of the strong competition. From the initial operation, the still existing pumps factory situated in Villotta di Chions, the partners after only three years decided to enlarge the scope of their activity and a second factory (in Azzano Decimo) started the production of the first “truck-mounted” vacuum-tanker, followed shortly by the more complex “combination vacuum & jetting unit”. At the same time the vacuum pumps range of types & models kept steadily increasing, moving from the agricultural non-cooled models to the more developed liquid-cooled ones, interesting this way a very big number of international potential customers involved in the manufacturing of “Environment protection machinery”. By the early ninety’s the market demand of machinery registered such levels that compelled most of the involved manufacturing companies (in the meantime internationally known as: OEM’s = Original Equipment Manufacturer) to “specialize,” and Jurop choose to specialize, both with pumps and truck mounted equipment, with the handling and transportation of liquid waste. This resulted in the manufacturing and distribution of a second line of pumps, namely the : Positive Displacement Lobe Pump, Jurop’s VL pumps; more and more used on liquid waste and similar handling machinery. Today Jurop, in the meantime completely owned by family Santarossa, can rightly affirm to be world-wide known (in 2007 delivered products to 56 different countries in all continents) and to be in a certainly leading position on what concerns Vacuum Technology. New & near-future projects Since a couple of years our company has been involved (read also: got more & more interested) to participate in the study of “new projects” that of course resulted to significant investments of company’s resources, on products that in a way did not belong to our actual range. A rather “promising but challenging” one is related to new technologies to be applied on the Bio-Gas recovering & energy transforming plants, where practically we could use /adopt just (very) little of our existing experience and a couple of our (suitably modified) pumps. More or less by chance we got also involved in an even bigger / larger, by all terms, project related to the Oil – Industry & Offshore drilling. With this project we “feel more confident” because the experience we gained from over thirty years activity, with vacuum and with transfer pumps as well, combined with our wide manufacturing program of pumps and accessories are thoroughly adequate for offering flexibility and performance.
