Southern Ontario has one of Canada's longest fruit
growing seasons. Despite a smaller number of fruit growing days (approximately
120 frost-free days), Quebec also has significant fruit production: Cranberries,
blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, black raspberries,
saskatoons and the labrusca grape.
Potatoes, sweet corn, green peas and tomatoes account
for 80% of total vegetable area in Canada. |
