Prairie Provinces & Western Canada
Most of canada's export grains and oilseeds are grown in Prairie Provinces: Spring wheat, durum wheat, canola, winter wheat, buckwheat.

Manitoba and Saskatchewan produce most of the flaxseed in Canada.

Primary region for specialty crop production including mustard, lentils, dry field peas, beans, canary seed, buckwheat, safflower and triticale.

Livestock including cattle, pigs, sheep, bison, venison.

Southern British Columbia has one of Canada's longest fruit growing seasons: Cranberries, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, black raspberries, saskatoons and the labrusca grape.

Potatoes, sweet corn, green peas and tomatoes account for 80% of total vegetable area in Canada. Potatoes have significant economic importance in Manitoba.
